Heeren van Ruysdael op reis senorita, Brazil series

Heeren van Ruysdael decided a few months ago to create a ‘Heeren van Ruysdael op reis’ series, limited edition cigars with tobacco from specific regions. I smoked a senorita from the Brazil series.

The cigar looks nice, pretty (but not maduro) dark with some veins, pretty hard touch and a tobacco smell. The predraw is fine and releases sweetness due to the Brazilian tobacco. The cigar produces big full smoke for such a little cigar but unfortunately the ash is pretty inconsistent and breaks easily so I have to vacuum again.

The flavor is a very consistent sweetness which you can expect from a cigar with Brazilian tobacco and a light tobacco flavor. After a while, just before I reach the center of the cigar the sweetness is accompanied by a bitter taste, not a very nice one and soon after I get a burning sensation on my tongue. I didn’t like that at all, so I took one more puff where I could taste some cacao trough the sweetness, bitterness and burn but that could not save the cigar.

Would I buy this cigar again? No, it’s too bitter and too small for me
